Help me find this song please =)

Please help me find this song i really want to listen to it again! ^^

This is what i roughly remember:

1)Its a song sang by a female singer

2)The tempo of the song is slow

3)But the singer sings it fast (I cant tell if its rap)

I think that there is a verse in the song that starts with the lyrics : "jia yi" (hanyu)

I also think that the mood of the song is quite sad

I am not sure if this is useful :

I heard this song on two occasions (Singapore) but I cant find its song title

First time :Over the radio 100.3 a few months ago

Second time : On channel 55/56 star-hub advertisement about 1 month ago

Any idea?

This is nothing but a stab in the dark given the lack of detail you can provide. Try listening to some of these songs by Cai Yilin (aka Jolin Tsai) and see if any sound familiar.

I think your best bet is to try to find the commercial that went with the song. What company was it for? What were they selling? Could you describe the commercial? With that information, anyone could search for it on youtube and hopefully find your mystery song. Since you saw it about a month ago, you've got a chance that they'll replay it so if you continue to watch the same program around the same time, see if you can see it again and pick-up more info. Even better would be if you could record it and upload it to a video-sharing site yourself.

is it possibly the song of Penny? Dai4 Pei4 Ni2 is her Chinese name. Slow tempo, sing fast. This reminds me her song-- zen3 yang4.

One female singer that had some slow songs I can think of is 張惠妹 (Zhang Hui Mei, also known as A-Mei)

Do you remember what kind of voice the singer had? Was a younger or an older singer?

If you can at least otherwise remember a phrase or line from the song, you can search for it online with "歌詞" (lyrics) to see if anything comes up?

mewmew : unfortunately I think the commercial was celebrating some festival and only had songs in it don think anyone would put it up ... Wished i had turned on my recorder

Yes, I see what you mean. The other bad thing is that since it was a commercial for a festival, the festival is probably over now and your chances of seeing that commercial again is very slim. What about the radio station you mentioned? Perhaps you can catch it again, record, and upload it. Alternatively, you can try to see if the station has a website and a chart topper list. By googling "新加坡 100.3" I found this from the very first link. I'm not sure it's the same station you were listening to, but if it is, it might be worth a shot to work your way down that list and see if you find your song. You might have to look for the chart archives from a few months ago if you don't find it though.

That's great! Congrats on finding your mystery song and thanks for posting it here. I too was curious! Wow, that song is relatively old (2007), I'm guessing it must've been a friend or relative who told you what it was.
