muyongshi Posted October 30, 2009 at 01:39 AM Report Posted October 30, 2009 at 01:39 AM So, I need to write a review for a 实习生 about their time of work and how they did etc in Chinese. Does anyone know what types of things these should include? How to write them? Do they expect just some fluff or do they want honest feedback? Is their topics to cover? Any advice would be great! Thanks! Quote
Kenny同志 Posted October 30, 2009 at 02:05 AM Report Posted October 30, 2009 at 02:05 AM Yongshi, this may be of some help: http://hi.baidu.com/cmz215/blog/item/5f572e081a5541d962d986b2.html It should be added that the feedback is supposed to be honest, but it is fluffy in so many cases that the review is merely regarded as a matter of form. skylee Posted October 30, 2009 at 02:45 PM Report Posted October 30, 2009 at 02:45 PM Why would that be a problem? Just write what you think/know without being cynical. And try to write the weaknesses in a positive light. Those who know how to read a report will understand it. I've recently come across an appraisal of an intern and there was this remark, "if she could be more punctual her performance could be even better". Actually the intern had a very poor punctuality record. Noting that remark I was about to withhold her cert but then her supervisor said, just give her the cert, she is young, blah blah blah ... Reading the link it occurs to me that I don't know how to write (have never written) an appraisal in Chinese. Quote
muyongshi Posted October 30, 2009 at 03:09 PM Author Report Posted October 30, 2009 at 03:09 PM That's more the problem is that I've never written one in Chinese so it seems like just going with the cop-out answer is easier for all parties. What I may do is for the school's official report say all good but in our typical performance review still do the typical this is good, this is where you need to improve, etc. Quote
