trisha2766 Posted November 13, 2009 at 03:49 AM Report Posted November 13, 2009 at 03:49 AM Has anyone heard of the singer Lu Jihong? If you have, what do you think of his music and is he very well known in China? Quote
BradenLJH Posted November 13, 2009 at 04:24 PM Report Posted November 13, 2009 at 04:24 PM Why do you ask? I have heard of him, but only because my first year professor named me after him. (Hence the "LJH" at the end of my u/n.) From what I gather when I introduce myself using my Mandarin name, he seems to be more popular in the north than in the south, and he seems to be more popular to older people rather than younger people. trisha2766 Posted November 14, 2009 at 01:50 AM Author Report Posted November 14, 2009 at 01:50 AM I was curious because my husband used to work with his brother. I did a search for his name before but didn't find much about him. I didn't know the characters for his name, I had to search with his pinyin name. I heard some of his music, and to me, yes, it seems like he would be more popular with older people. I was wondering if he was someone most people had heard of or not too. Quote
BradenLJH Posted November 14, 2009 at 08:06 AM Report Posted November 14, 2009 at 08:06 AM 吕继宏 are the characters, just in case. I mean, my professor must have liked him enough. What kind of work was his brother in? Quote
trisha2766 Posted November 20, 2009 at 06:50 PM Author Report Posted November 20, 2009 at 06:50 PM Science related, I really don't know what his degree is in though. Quote
