Skype popup translation for free

This info is probably already available here, but I've been trying to figure out a free way to do this, and now that I know, here it is in case anyone else is not sure

1.Download and install Stardict

2.Download and install newish version of cedict 2009/08/31

http://sourceforge.net/projects/stardict/files/stardict-dictionaries-zh_CN/2.4.2/stardict-mdbg-cc-cedict-2.4.2.tar.bz2/download

This will read Chinese in other programs( doesn't seem to work for me in Firefox) , but I use it mostly for skype. It's clean, stable and quick.

Is there another way to do this in skype??

I'm not sure that I trust a dictionary program which claims

lol! That is funny. Well anyways, you can trust cedict .

Actually I don't think you can trust it that much. At this point in time, nothing beats a well-edited dictionary, I must say. CEDICT is very useful for web-based stuff and databases and so on, but it's more a wordlist than a dictionary...

Just compare CEDICT to 21世紀漢英大辭典...

Thanks Stoney will definitely give this a try. I usually play musical windows when using Skype in Chinese.

Other solution = two 23" monitors + fancy video card to run 'em. This sounds cheaper.

Thanks. Maybe I wouldn't hate using QQ so much if I had a trick like that up my sleeve. I'm assuming if it works with Skype, it also works with QQ. Do you know if that's true?
