sekkar Posted January 29, 2018 at 08:21 PM Report Share Posted January 29, 2018 at 08:21 PM Two more alternatives: Germany 5th of May, or Sweden 2nd of June. Really wish they would provide info like this for all test centers on the main web sites, looking through all these poorly constructed embassy sites is a pain in the ass. Anyone else planning on taking the test in Europe this year? I'm considering trying the C-band sometime this summer, probably the test in Germany. Elliott Jones Posted April 17, 2024 at 06:01 AM Report Share Posted April 17, 2024 at 06:01 AM I took the TOCFL CAT exam for the first time on April 13th. I wanted to post my experience in a blog article here, but I don't have permission to create one. Anyway, here is a write up I did detailing my experience and feedback on the CAT format. https://caasl.substack.com/p/my-first-attempt-at-the-tocfl-exam

New Members DCTZ Posted July 21, 2024 at 01:50 AM New Members Report Share Posted July 21, 2024 at 01:50 AM I took the TOCFL CAT yesterday for the first time and was surprised that the reading section still hadn't finished at question 37. I only had one minute left for this question which was not enough time for me to confirm my answer and thus I left it blank for the test to time out. I do know the max number of questions is 40 but wasnt sure whether guessing and answering wrong in the final few minutes/seconds would have any negative impact on my score as opposed to not answering at all as I did. I have the suspicion now that wrong answers wont result in lower scores, just that the next questions would be easier and thus the potential final score lower - but this would be irrelevant when you only have one minute left! Anyone have any insight on this? Would like to be more prepared for next time if this happens again.
