pietje99 Posted November 30, 2009 at 05:42 AM Report Posted November 30, 2009 at 05:42 AM Results came in today and have a small std. tho not a serious one. Now I got a paper here which is saying stuff about my condition, although its too small to read and to write in nciku.com. So I was wondering of anyone has a list of STD's with the chinese characters so I can compare it to my result. The pinyin is fei lin jun xing niao dao yan . which means some infection to bladder. Although I would like the name of the disease so I can find more about it online. I have got medicine and it should be fixed within 2 weeks. Doctor didnt speak a single word of english which didnt help me too much either... Quote

pietje99 Posted November 30, 2009 at 07:49 AM Author Report Posted November 30, 2009 at 07:49 AM right. after some more googling i think it's UU - Ureaplasma urealyticum. Can anyone confirm that? Quote
HashiriKata Posted November 30, 2009 at 08:17 AM Report Posted November 30, 2009 at 08:17 AM I think you're correct but the Chinese you wrote seems to have an extra character. It should be just 解脲支原体. Quote
abcdefg Posted November 30, 2009 at 07:04 PM Report Posted November 30, 2009 at 07:04 PM (edited) Sounds like you have what would probably be called "non-specific urethritis" in the US. That's pretty much what the Pinyin you wrote means. The technical Hanzi you wrote is the name of the causative organism, ureaplasma urealyticum. You can find more in English here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ureaplasma_urealyticum You can find more in Chinese here: http://www.cnstd.com.cn/ You need to use a condom until you have finished all the medicine and it has entirely cleared up. 安全套 = ānquàntào = condom. You need to be sure you don't have a more serious co-existing venereal disease. Your sex partner needs treating too. Edited November 30, 2009 at 07:14 PM by abcdefg Quote
xianhua Posted November 30, 2009 at 09:47 PM Report Posted November 30, 2009 at 09:47 PM 安全套 = ānquàntào I think the 'quan' should be in the second tone though. Sorry to contradict - I know it's really annoying, but it may just help the OP. Quote
abcdefg Posted November 30, 2009 at 11:08 PM Report Posted November 30, 2009 at 11:08 PM I think the 'quan' should be in the second tone though. Of course you're right. Sorry for the typo. I refrained from any preaching about safe sex first time round, but since I'm logged in again might as well give a plug here for condoms. Cheap and readily available. 安全套 = ānquántào 避孕套 = bìyùntào Quote
chrix Posted November 30, 2009 at 11:14 PM Report Posted November 30, 2009 at 11:14 PM ok, there's another term 保險套, bao3xian3tao4 (might be mainly TW usage, don't know) Quote
