Windows 7 and Chinese input

Recommended Posts

I don't know if this post is in the right place. I am going to buy a Dell Windows 7 soon. I want to be able to input Chinese characters in emails, documents, etc does anyone know if Windows 7 should be able to do all that? I guess it should...

This might be useful. I haven't installed W7 yet in the laptop that came with Vista (with free "upgrade"), so I'll follow these threads.

Yes. Windows 7 is able to do this without any issue. It has input methods for both traditional and simplified Chinese, as well as dozens of other languages. The system is almost identical, as far as I've been able to tell, to what already existed in Vista and XP.
