Audio for listening.

Hello all!

I looked through the below post on improving upper intermediate speaking and listening, as well as imron's post on his personal 'technique',

However I could only find this http://www.pthxx.com/01ld/index.htm link, but not sure were to go to find the corresponding audio.

Also any other sites with audio/transcripts would be greatly appreciated!

Right now I would say my level is upper intermediate, but still need to work more on my tones and listening comprehension. I have studied Chinese for three years, one of which was in China, however it was in the south and so now I seem to have picked up some of their 'bad habits'. I am totally fine in daily conversation and can express myself on a wide range of topics. The main problem seems to be i can express my feelings on advanced concepts but with intermediate vocab.

example being (when speaking)

I might say something like 文化的革命的时候毛泽东批评了刘少奇和邓少平

instead of 文化大革命的时候刘少奇和邓少平被打为“走资派”

anyway any helpful links or advise would be appreciated.

谢谢!

Audio for those articles can be found here. There are plenty of recommendations and suggestions for audio and listenting materials on the forums. A search for podcast or transcripts should turn up plenty. If you're looking for native level material, you might also consider looking at the first episode project.

Thanks! That link was just what I was looking for. Yea I have checked out the 'first episode project' definitely helpful, but the main problem is that I really can't stand Chinese t.v. shows, I'm even picky when it comes to American ones. I enjoy some Chinese movies like 'beijing bastards' and 'suzhou river' but those are not the majority in Chinese mainstream,

Anyway thanks again.

They're not *all* the same - some of them are even quite good
