Genova Posted December 20, 2009 at 06:57 PM Report Posted December 20, 2009 at 06:57 PM (edited) Hey guys and girls. Going to Bj 19 jan for a 40 week intensive mandarin course at BLCU. (starts 1 march) But like I said, im going 19 jan already, doing some sightseeing before. Including flying from Beijing to Shantou, so basically I'm not leaving china (or entering places such as Hongkong or Macau) so basically I think my single-entry visum will be valid for this kind of flying. Already booked a ticket, so I better hope I'm right Just checking, can anyone confirm my story? Thanks for taking the time! ~Rob Edited December 20, 2009 at 06:58 PM by Genova Spelling of title. abcdefg Posted December 20, 2009 at 10:09 PM Report Posted December 20, 2009 at 10:09 PM You can fly all you want inside China on your single-entry visa. Should not be a problem as long as it has not expired. Quote
roddy Posted December 21, 2009 at 01:42 AM Report Posted December 21, 2009 at 01:42 AM I was flying out of some smaller airport some years ago (Qingdao, I think), and the security check guy looked at an old visa by mistake, saw it was expired and called his supervisor over to ask what to do. He got told it was not their problem, and I got my passport back and took the flight. I had, obviously, a valid visa on another page, but the airport folk are more concerned with actual identity than anything else. Wouldn't fancy your chances of boarding without a valid visa now, but at the same time wouldn't rule it out - if you say something along the lines of "Yes, just noticed that myself, very sorry, going to deal with it as soon as I get to Beijing" I wouldn't be surprised if they let you go and be someone else's problem.
