Loriquero Posted December 21, 2009 at 02:40 PM Report Posted December 21, 2009 at 02:40 PM Ok, this is the situation... A friend of a friend of mine (...) is hanging out with a chinese girl, she got some facial hair and she says that in China there´s no products for woman epilation. I just wanna know some names and descriptions of this kind of products that 肯定 are in the shanghainese market. Thanks. Quote

skylee Posted December 21, 2009 at 03:24 PM Report Posted December 21, 2009 at 03:24 PM (edited) there´s no products for woman epilation Unbelievable. How about a pair of tweezers? Or razors like these -> http://lh3.ggpht.com/_B1e9AEOR8b4/SfhtKUXBkiI/AAAAAAAAEOM/4qqcTyAH0-4/%E8%B5%84%E7%94%9F%E5%A0%82+%E7%9C%89%E6%AF%9B%E5%89%83%E5%88%80+17(22).JPG http://image.rayli.com.cn/0003/2009-06-24/images/200962415146248.jpg Edited December 21, 2009 at 03:43 PM by skylee Quote
Meng Lelan Posted December 21, 2009 at 03:58 PM Report Posted December 21, 2009 at 03:58 PM it seems donhorhe asked about something similar one time long ago. What about waxing services, is that possible in Shanghai? I live in the States and the pharmacy has lots of those products which I've seen in Watsons in Beijing. Is there a Watsons in Shanghai? Maybe look there? Quote
xianhua Posted December 21, 2009 at 04:50 PM Report Posted December 21, 2009 at 04:50 PM she says that in China there´s no products for woman epilation My wife's friend in China visits a beauticians which does do this. Maybe she meant the home consumption market isn't particularly developed since it's probably cheaper and more effective to visit a shop? Quote
aroberts42 Posted December 30, 2009 at 08:28 PM Report Posted December 30, 2009 at 08:28 PM hahahaha, I was wondering about this myself! I get threading done here in the states and I was wondering if it was common and how expensive it was there. Threading originted in Malaysia I think so I just figured it was pretty common in that part of the world Quote
Meng Lelan Posted December 31, 2009 at 11:54 PM Report Posted December 31, 2009 at 11:54 PM I don't know, threading might be a problem in terms of hygeine if it were available in China. Here in Texas they're wanting thread places to be licensed in cosmetology and health safety practices or else they get shut down. Quote
Lu Posted January 4, 2010 at 10:12 AM Report Posted January 4, 2010 at 10:12 AM she says that in China there´s no products for woman epilation. They don't have tweezers in China? I have trouble believing that. Or what else was she planning to use? Quote
skylee Posted January 4, 2010 at 10:16 AM Report Posted January 4, 2010 at 10:16 AM They don't have tweezers in China? I have trouble believing that. This is exactly what I think. Quote
aroberts42 Posted January 4, 2010 at 06:18 PM Report Posted January 4, 2010 at 06:18 PM Well she did say 'epilation' products. She might have mean creams and bleaches. These products are popular in America but might not be over there. And it really is rather impossible to fully tweezeall the hair on the upper lip. Epilations products, waxing, or threading would have to be done. Does anyone know the state of salons over there? Are they as populous over there are they are here? How are the sanitation standards? How are the prices? Quote
pumpkinlily Posted January 4, 2010 at 06:21 PM Report Posted January 4, 2010 at 06:21 PM go to stores like屈臣氏or something like that selling cosmetic and skincare products, you will find some.... Quote
