md1101 Posted December 27, 2009 at 08:03 AM Report Posted December 27, 2009 at 08:03 AM (edited) I just want to run a quick poll to see how many people are studying Chinese in Sydney. And I mean any form of study such as a casual interest in it so you try and learn some here and there. And who knows, if there are lots maybe we could share tips or organise events or something. Edited December 27, 2009 at 08:08 AM by md1101 made it more obvious its a poll Quote

Sydney Matt Posted June 9, 2011 at 10:59 AM Report Posted June 9, 2011 at 10:59 AM Hi all! Realise this is an old post now, but bumping because I am indeed studying Chinese in Sydney, and interested in the ideas in the original post. Anyone else? Quote
Tim Martin Posted December 28, 2011 at 09:50 AM Report Posted December 28, 2011 at 09:50 AM I am also in Sydney, and have just begun learning Mandarin. I'm hoping to intern/work in China in the next 2 years so am keen to start the long path to fluency. I'm also looking for recommendations from other Sydneysiders who have studied at local intensive courses, or of online courses that have been most useful. I have used the Rocket language software before and found it very easy to use so am thinking of giving their Mandarin package a go. Drop me a message if you would like. Quote
studychinese Posted December 30, 2011 at 05:41 AM Report Posted December 30, 2011 at 05:41 AM Ditto for me too. I am in Sydney until Feb, then I will return to China. Anyone want to get together as a group and go to Chinatown for a coffee or something, and blow the staff away with our awesome Chinese skillz? :-) Quote
