andwan0 Posted January 7, 2010 at 04:26 PM Report Share Posted January 7, 2010 at 04:26 PM Am trying to find a pattern as to why some character/words are not recognized properly during ZDT custom import - but they are clearly in the ZDT CEDICT dictionary. I normally type up my vocabulary from my textbook into a plain text file to import. I use tab delimiter and ignore the traditional characters. So my text file is like: 柏林 [bó lín] /Berlin/ 足球 [zú qiú] /football/ 网球 [wǎng qiú] /tennis/ 篮球 [lán qiú] /basketball/ 一起 [yì qǐ] /together/ 秘书 [mì shū] /secretary/ 舒服 [shū fu] /comfortable/ 一样 [yí yàng] /the same/ 打的 [dǎ dī] /take a taxi (的 is read as dī here for taxi)/ 不谢 [bù xiè] /not at all/ 地球 [dì qiú] /the Earth/ ( use import string S [P] /D/ ) Note that ZDT never seems to like the first line of a custom import file. So if you were importing the above example list, then duplicate line 1 into line 2. I searched for the above words in ZDT CEDICT dictionary and all where found manually using search button. They all had same pinyin tones except 打的 (because my textbook says it's da3di1). But the question is, why didn't ZDT recognise these words during custom import?
