I agree with you 一頭豬 is correct. But then I don't have strong views on the use of 一條豬 here because it is meant to be funny and humorous.

Somehow I am reminded of 人之患在好爲人師. Yes I hope I can always bear it in mind.

I think there's a similar discussion regarding the liangci for dogs somewhere on this forum, but these things are not so clear-cut. At least according to google, 一隻豬 is by far the most commonly found combination. But 一條豬 seems to have some hits as well, primarily from Taiwan... A friend from Taiwan thought this must be "Hong Kong or mainland usage", so it might be quite rare even in Taiwan.

I think it's an interesting point, maybe for another thread though. It seems that usually, pig is either 隻 or 頭. Any semantic differentiations as for 狗?

I'm going to have to revisit this page since I still dont understand all that's written in this comic, but it's great, thanks for posting it!

What with my switch to simplified characters, I'm going to have fun reading some traditional script in the mean time!!:mrgreen:
