I was just wondering if anyone would be going to Nanjing University to study chinese over the summer. A rather large group of us from Northeastern University(Boston) will be going/

I shall be studying chinese in NJU over the summer too from the UK. When are you starting?

We will be going pretty early like May 5th to June 5th. So I don't know if you'll be there that early.

I shall be there from May 16 till June 19th. Can i ask, what were the accommodation options made availible to you ? And which did you prefer to take? I plan to sort that out on arrival...

I am going through my school which has an annual program at Nanda. So the lodgings the same every year pretty much. Standard double on campus. Don't know where though.

Hey Northeasterners,

I grew up in Boston and am now in Nanjing. It's a short program. Sometimes the programs are together but often they are split in to separate classrooms in the same building. There was a bunch of people from Sheffield U in the UK as well as a BYU class when I was there. Even West point usually sent like 6 or so students for an exchange though I don't know if they'll do that this year as Obama met the Dalai Lama.

Make sure you explore the city, travel and do stuff. We play ultimate frisbee at Nanjing Normal U (two streets down from Nanda ) on Sundays , TUesdays and Thursdays.
