taijiphoenix Posted January 10, 2010 at 05:00 AM Report Share Posted January 10, 2010 at 05:00 AM hello everyone, I would like to use the name 云凤 as my chinese name. I was wondering if this can be considered a female name? (as I am female)
skylee Posted January 10, 2010 at 07:42 AM Report Share Posted January 10, 2010 at 07:42 AM Yes. But IMO it sounds old-fashioned.

doraemon Posted January 11, 2010 at 06:20 AM Report Share Posted January 11, 2010 at 06:20 AM I suppose it's does sound feminine enough, but I only know one person who has the word 凤 in his name, and he's a 60 year old man. Yeah, skylee's quite right, it's a bit old fashioned. Did you base that Chinese name on your English one? Is 云 meant to be part of your Chinese surname of part of the name?
