MengJiaSheng Posted January 15, 2010 at 05:19 PM Report Posted January 15, 2010 at 05:19 PM I came across this sentence lately: 他将自己更好地融入新球队. I cant really tell how 将 is used here. I would have use 使or 让 so that it means ·"He made himself"...I did not know that 将 could have the same meaning. I just know it as a future marker. Thanks for the help. Quote
Don_Horhe Posted January 15, 2010 at 05:22 PM Report Posted January 15, 2010 at 05:22 PM Think of it as a formal 把, as in a “把”字句. Quote

Kenny同志 Posted January 16, 2010 at 02:39 AM Report Posted January 16, 2010 at 02:39 AM I would have use 使or 让 so that it means ·"He made himself"... You were right. The original is wrong. Quote
Inkfish Posted February 15, 2010 at 10:11 AM Report Posted February 15, 2010 at 10:11 AM The original is totally correct... 將 is a more formal use of 把 here, 將/把 or 使/讓 are meaning the same Quote
