roddy Posted September 20, 2003 at 01:18 PM Report Posted September 20, 2003 at 01:18 PM A couple of posts elsewhere made me think this might be a useful topic . . . Does anyone know of any Chinese radio stations, either on the internet or broadcasting conventionally, that are particularly good for learners? If so, post a website address / frequency and broadcast schedule here . . . Roddy Quote
889 Posted September 20, 2003 at 02:07 PM Report Posted September 20, 2003 at 02:07 PM VOA's Chinese broadcasts have a somewhat laboured texture, rather like their English broadcasts. They're pretty easy on foreign ears, though, and can be downloaded below: http://www.freexinwen.com/chinese/stream-time.htm Quote
Guest Andrew Posted September 21, 2003 at 12:19 AM Report Posted September 21, 2003 at 12:19 AM Chongqing radio http://203.93.111.169/cqbs.ram & HK's putonghua station http://www.rthk.org.hk/live6.ram If you get the program replay radio you can download chunks of internet radio easily to your computer or cd. You can get a free demo version that only lets you record 5 minutes at a time, but quite good for learning. Quote

Guest Ch1nam4n Posted October 20, 2003 at 06:00 PM Report Posted October 20, 2003 at 06:00 PM There's also VOT (Voice of Taipei), which is a mix of both English and Chinese. From what I've listened to, it's mostly English stuff, except for the commercials, but it'll give you some clues as to what's popular in Taiwan, at least...The link is below. Voice of Taipei Quote

Xiao Kui Posted December 14, 2005 at 03:19 AM Report Posted December 14, 2005 at 03:19 AM This is the main CRI site (putonghua page). I tried the others posted in this thread a couple months back with little success, but this one is working great for me. You can choose any article/transcript and then listen to the radio broadcast of it. It´s good listening material for intermediate/advanced learners, but not for beginners cause it´s FAST - what I need right now cause I have a hard time understanding the news - I have to really concentrate. Anyway, looks like an endless supply of tingli practice. http://gb.chinabroadcast.cn/chinese_radio/index.htm Quote
