How do you explain to people in Taiwan, who rarely see snow, what snow blowers are. My pathetic but best shot at it would be to say

My dictionary has 氣爆式剷雪機, which doesn't have many hits, but if you just look for 剷雪機, you get plenty of pics on the image search...

Chrix is correct:

You can use 剷雪機, which literally means "snow shoveling machine"

or

You could also translate "snowblower"/"snow blower" directly from English into Chinese:

Use either:

PS I'm a bit confused - In English, is it one word or two? nciku & google lists it as both "snow blower" and "snowblower".

I'd just use a picture, even to show someone in English who has never lived in a snowy region.
