hichew Posted January 25, 2010 at 12:47 PM Report Posted January 25, 2010 at 12:47 PM Hi all, I had a question I was hoping someone could help with! I currently have a single entry F-visa (for study, couldn't get double entry or multi-entry). Shortly after entering China though I need to go to HK for 3 days. It's absolutely important that I get back to China in those 3 days. As such, I am worried about getting a new visa in time to re-enter. My questions are: 1) It seems my only option is to go to the visa office immediately when I land and rush a visa application (while hoping nothing goes wrong). Is there any other option? Can I get a new visa in China or do I need to go to HK? 2) If this is my only option, what are the chances that something goes wrong? Am I just being paranoid? i.e., if I submit my visa application (using the same documentation that I used the first time - i.e., school invitation), is there a reason to think that I may not get my visa? 3) If you were me would you just not do the HK trip? I'm a bit of a visa novice so any thoughts from folks with more experience would be greatly appreciated! Quote
Lu Posted February 23, 2010 at 01:26 PM Report Posted February 23, 2010 at 01:26 PM As to 3), the only person who can answer that is you. For the rest, from what I've read around here getting a visa in HK can be fast and fairly simple. You might want to search the forums a bit on this topic. Quote
whereishunter Posted February 24, 2010 at 12:45 AM Report Posted February 24, 2010 at 12:45 AM I dont think it will be to many problems as long as you have the correct documents, full out the form correctly, etc. Its just going to cost you a lot of money to do it. But if you need to go HK then you should go. Good luck Quote
