chaxiu Posted February 1, 2010 at 07:00 AM Report Posted February 1, 2010 at 07:00 AM http://www.linkingbooks.com.tw/basic/class3_cart_default.asp?KNDNO=40101 There are some new graded readers out now in Taiwan. On their web site it says that they are graded according to the TOP test. At the moment there are only 6 books: three for Beginner, one for Intermediate and two for Advanced. There are apparently versions in traditional and simplified. There are 200NT (220NT for the Advanced) which seems reasonable. I bought most of them and have been reading through them over the last week or so. The audio is clear, they use (he) instead of ( han) for和, 一會兒 etc, which were the only differences I noticed compared with other children’s books for Taiwan. The Advanced books however don’t seem to be very advanced. I was reading ‘A Nurse’s Story’ yesterday and could understand the story quite well. There were only a couple of words on a page that I didn’t understand. This in some ways it was easier to read than some of the children’s books I’ve been reading… Anyway I have enjoyed them so far… I wonder if anyone else has read them. Cheers Chaxiu Quote
