valikor Posted February 7, 2010 at 02:26 AM Report Posted February 7, 2010 at 02:26 AM Just curious... are there study areas in this place? Like any "normal" library, is this a place I can go with a book and just read by myself? I'm feeling adventurous, but also need to find a quiet place to study.. and I'd imagine there is other interesting stuff here that might be worth checking out. Quote
gato Posted February 7, 2010 at 02:42 AM Report Posted February 7, 2010 at 02:42 AM Yes, just go to the foreign book room in the back. They are usually not too crowded and you can find a table for studying. You need to get a reading card first , though. Bring your passport to the library card application area of the library.. It think it cost 100yuan when I got it a few years ago. Quote

The No.1 mission of Chinese National Libary (and libaries in China in general) is to store books rather than serve the reader:mrgreen: I have friends working there, by the way Quote
