Can someone point me right ...Im looking for a place in Guangdong called Mei or Mai Lin or Lei ...Meilin ?? Mailin ??

...maybe the characters too.

There is a village and reservoir called Meilin (梅林) in the Futian district of Shenzhen. Not sure if this is the place you are looking for:

There is also 梅县 (Mei County), which is a major center for the Hakka community.
