slyreference Posted February 16, 2010 at 07:13 PM Report Posted February 16, 2010 at 07:13 PM I was reading through an official document and ran into the phrase 小散远直. I think it's a phrase. I did a Google search with it in quotes and got 166,000 hits. When I looked for it in a dictionary, however, I couldn't find it. Does anyone know what it means? Quote

affix Posted February 17, 2010 at 06:19 PM Report Posted February 17, 2010 at 06:19 PM I'm a native speaker. I don't think you will ever really need this word. as I've never heard nor seen it in my 20+ years of life. What you really need to grasp is the usage of language behind this abbreviation-like phrase. example: 多快好省: 数量多,速度快,质量好,成本省。 出处:毛泽东《在扩大的中央工作会议上的讲话》:“通过了‘鼓足干劲,力争上游,多快好省地建设社会主义’的总路线。” Quote
