yoeri Posted August 8, 2015 at 01:23 PM Report Share Posted August 8, 2015 at 01:23 PM I also received my documents from Nanjing University 2 weeks ago! However, there is still unclarity for me regarding the physical examination and I cannot get any response by email from Nanjing Unversity. For anyone going to Nanjing University, do you know if you need to do the physical examination in your home country or after your arrival in China? igacave Posted August 8, 2015 at 07:49 PM Report Share Posted August 8, 2015 at 07:49 PM Sometimes you need both. You have to do physical examination in order to get visa.
haofei Posted August 8, 2015 at 09:12 PM Report Share Posted August 8, 2015 at 09:12 PM Do we need to do the physical exam if we just go for 1 semester? In total I will be in China 5 months, and on the papers it says the physical exam and blood tests are required if you stay 6 months or more. Cheers guys
yoeri Posted August 8, 2015 at 10:18 PM Report Share Posted August 8, 2015 at 10:18 PM According to the visa application centre in my home country, it is not required for the X1 visa. However, after arrival you need to apply for a residence permit within 30 days (at least for me as I stay for one year) and then you still need to have the physical examination record. Maybe it differs per country whether you also need to have it for the visa?

haofei Posted December 6, 2015 at 11:09 PM Report Share Posted December 6, 2015 at 11:09 PM Hello everyone. Leaving for China in 2 months with a confucius scholarship. I have seen contradictory information regarding the scholarship amount. For a semester, is it 1400 yuan or 2500 yuan??
kony Posted December 6, 2015 at 11:33 PM Report Share Posted December 6, 2015 at 11:33 PM 2500 per month. 1400 was up until the previous year, hence some sites might misinform you as they haven't been updated.
haofei Posted December 7, 2015 at 01:15 AM Report Share Posted December 7, 2015 at 01:15 AM YES !! I think 2500 Yuan per month will cover all my expenses then!! Thank you @kony
kony Posted December 7, 2015 at 04:05 AM Report Share Posted December 7, 2015 at 04:05 AM It should, regardless of wherever you live. You also get a free dormitory room, so you don't pay for accommodation, hence why 2500 is quite a lot of money and beside food and everyday items, you should also have some cash left to spend on travels and taobao ;)
Mixia Posted December 8, 2015 at 01:11 AM Report Share Posted December 8, 2015 at 01:11 AM Depending on where you go you might get allowance instead of the free dorm room. In Shanghai Jiaotong University we got 5000yuan in October (1semester) but have to pay for the room ourselves
Gudai Posted December 19, 2015 at 08:13 AM Report Share Posted December 19, 2015 at 08:13 AM Hello, guys. Is there anyone here who studied in Kunming at Yunnan Normal University? Can someone tell me why we do not get our scholarship in February? Does anyone have the same, at different university?
MPR94 Posted December 19, 2015 at 09:13 AM Report Share Posted December 19, 2015 at 09:13 AM Hello, I'm currently on a CI scholarship in Shanghai and was wondering if anyone knew if I would be eligible to apply for another city for Fall 2016. Also, @Gudai ~ Do you still have winter break in February? The way my scholarship works is for December, I got the scholarship for both December and January, and my school said that when classes commence in March, I will get the scholarship for February and March in one sum. Also, I'm looking at studying in Kunming. Is it worth it to study there? How do you like it?
GotJack Posted December 19, 2015 at 09:24 AM Report Share Posted December 19, 2015 at 09:24 AM MPR94, I think (but aren't sure) you would be illegible as you are already in China. Applications are only accepted for Confucius if the applicant is not residing in China. Wait on someone else to confirm though
