Saide Posted February 20, 2010 at 06:44 PM Report Posted February 20, 2010 at 06:44 PM I'm a graduated Sinologist and am on the verge of applying for a scholarship through the Chinese government. Due to the limited duration of this scholarship (1 year), it's almost certain I will end up in a Chinese class, be it intensive or advanced. But to be honest: I'm mainly trying to get to China with this scholarship and am quite fed up with only learning Chinese. I'm way more interested at taking up some undergraduate courses (in Chinese) such as Chinese literature and/or art etc. That's why I will most likely opt for BLCU or CUC (maybe Renmin Daxue?), because of the wide variety of interesting courses they have to offer in the fields of art/humanities. My question is the following: has anyone here ever taken part in undergraduate classes while at the same time just studying Chinese at any university in Beijing. How'd that work out for you? Some classmates of mine were offered scholarships in China after getting excellent results during one year language-programs. Any chance of counting on that? Thanx for the feedback! SID/赛德 Quote
