Guest Wang_Anyi Posted February 23, 2010 at 07:59 AM Report Posted February 23, 2010 at 07:59 AM Hi, I have a problem. I have applied for Language study in china, because it will be over 6 month, I will ned a physical examination. Here in germany it will cost me about 900€, I have read on the website of my University (Tianjin University of Technology) that it is possible to make the physical examination in china, but the cost are not mentioned on the website. So somebody here have experience with the phyiscal examination in china? I want to know how much it will cost to make the physical examination in china. Thanky you Quote
anonymoose Posted February 23, 2010 at 08:26 AM Report Posted February 23, 2010 at 08:26 AM Nothing anywhere near the cost in Germany. I don't remember exactly, but in the region of 500 RMB, and certainly not more than 1000. Quote
kdavid Posted February 23, 2010 at 08:37 AM Report Posted February 23, 2010 at 08:37 AM It's 220 RMB here in Harbin for the standard visa/resident permit physical. Quote
Guest Wang_Anyi Posted February 23, 2010 at 08:38 AM Report Posted February 23, 2010 at 08:38 AM Thank you for your answer, so I go to tianjin, but it's OK when it cost about 1000 RMB. But a question left, if I take the Physical Examination in china. Noramlly I will get a L or x visa, but as far I know of a physical Examination report is needed for applying this visa. right? Or it is possible to apply for an L / X- Visa without physical report? I know there is the possibility to apply for an tourist (F-) Visa and convert in china to an student visa, but this will cost extra expenses. I don't know how much it cost, it would be interesting, so anyone here have expierence with that? Thank you Quote
anonymoose Posted February 23, 2010 at 09:00 AM Report Posted February 23, 2010 at 09:00 AM You should be able to get the visa from your local embassy without a medical examination report. But when you get to China, you will then have to apply for a residence permit within 30 days. For this you need the medical certificate. As far as possible, you should try to apply for the correct visa for your intended purpose of visit. Different regions have different rules (and sometimes it just depends on who happens to be sitting at the desk at the time), but if you go on a tourist visa, they could make life difficult for you if you wish to convert to a study permit. (In all likelihood it would be OK, but theoretically they could make you leave China and reenter with the correct visa.) Quote
xiaoxiaocao Posted February 23, 2010 at 09:16 AM Report Posted February 23, 2010 at 09:16 AM Costs 340rmb here in Shijiazhuang. You won't need a medical test for an L visa but you will for both student(x) and work(z), not sure about the business(f) visa. In my experience it's better to wait until after you arrive in China anyway as there is always a chance that the local 'powers that be' will decide not to accept a medical report from a foreign country. Guest Wang_Anyi Posted February 23, 2010 at 09:25 AM Report Posted February 23, 2010 at 09:25 AM Thank you so much for your answers, So I apply just for a ordinary L visa and just looking forward:D @xiaoxaiocao I also think that the officials in china maybe not agree with a german physical report. It was my first thought since the moment I know that I need a physical examination. Now I know what I have to do Thank you! Quote
abcdefg Posted February 23, 2010 at 10:38 AM Report Posted February 23, 2010 at 10:38 AM About 350 RMB in Kunming. No big deal. Wait and get it in Chlna. Quote
chrix Posted February 23, 2010 at 03:08 PM Report Posted February 23, 2010 at 03:08 PM 900 EUR for a physcial examnination in Germany? That doesn't sound right. I'd just go to a doctor and talk to them about it, one should be able to work out a much cheaper solution... Quote
