Corrections to a beginners sentence structure

Can someone check to see if my sentences are correct? I am just a beginner and am experimenting with sentence structure and grammar. I'm still a little confused as to how the past, present and future tense work. Sorry for the blandness (?) of my sentences, I don't have too many works to work with at the moment.

那是一张他家的照片。 That is a picture of his family.

我去了游泳，还去了看京剧。 In addition to swimming we also went to see the opera.

我弟弟真喜欢打球。 他不喜欢学习。 My little brother really likes to play ball. He doesn't like to study.

他们晚上去看京剧。 In the evening they are going to see the opera.

That is a picture of his family.

Usually we prefer to say ”那是他家的一张照片“。

In addition to swimming we also went to see the opera.

我们游完泳后又去看了京剧。"游完泳“ means have been swimming.

My little brother really likes to play ball. He doesn't like to study.

我弟弟真的很喜欢打球，他不爱学习。This is "爱" means "like", not "love".

In the evening they are going to see the opera.

他们要晚上去看京剧。"be going to" we use "要".

I'd like to point out that in colloquial Chinese it's quite understandable to say 那是他家的一张照片/那是一张他家的照片 if you are talking about the family instead of their house.

I thought that family was jia1ren2 (house people- directly translated), so I would have thought it would be 那是一张他家人的照片?

your sentences are correct,but that's not the words of the Chinese habit of,Criteria are as follows:

那是他家的一张照片

他不仅游泳了，而且也看了京剧

他的弟弟很喜欢打球，却不喜欢学习

他们晚上将去看京剧
