O. Yarnspinner Posted March 12, 2010 at 10:58 PM Report Posted March 12, 2010 at 10:58 PM As some of you might know, with the newer MS Word Editions, you get a function called "Phonetics guide". When you select some Chinese characters and then click its button, it allows you to place the pīnyīn right on top of the hànzì. Combined with the Pinyinput found here, it's a truly awesome feature. Sadly, in the Office bundle, only MS Word comes with this function. It would be far more helpful if people who use MS Powerpoint presentations to teach students had that function for PPT as well. So - I was wondering, does any of the versed users here know a trick to get neat pīnyīn on top of hànzì in Power Point that don't rely on fumbling around with additional text boxes or spamming the space key on a prev. line of text, or - heaven forbid - screencapping from MS Word. C'mon, I'm sure someone here does use PPT Slides to teach their audience! Quote
Hofmann Posted March 15, 2010 at 12:19 AM Report Posted March 15, 2010 at 12:19 AM Yeah, but Pinyin is usually needed only once in a while. I think such a feature could be made an add-in. Quote
