You mean if "你去买东西不去" would imply an angry attitude?

If there is stress on 不去 then it would sound a little angry, to me it would carry the same meaning as 你到底去不去, but I guess it's very subjective, especially that after all it's not very common, so I guess everyone would have a different feeling.

"你去买东西不去" implies that the person SHOULD do something, but is reluctant. You're urging them to do it.

Precisely my point renzhe, and thanks for conveying that so clearly. To me, it's like saying "are you going or not?" rather than "are you going to.. blah blah".
