Wiring a plug "Made in China"?

Recommended Posts

Posted

I bought a power-supply on ebay from Hong Kong and am trying to connect a 13-amp (UK & Ireland) plug-top to replace the miniscule thing that came with it. The cable says "Made in China" and the wires are coloured as follows: (a) REDDISH-BROWN, (B) BLACK, © BLACK with a LIGHT BLUE stripe (see attached image).

Can anyone advise which wire is LIVE, NEUTRAL and EARTH please?

Not knowing what you are trying to wire and the voltages involved, the reddish-brown Live, the black Neutral, the light blue stripe Earth.
