jmostyn Posted April 13, 2010 at 09:27 AM Report Posted April 13, 2010 at 09:27 AM Hi, Came to Beijing on a 30 day tourist visa, which I then got upgraded to a 6 month single entry at the BLCU. During a national holiday I want to travel to Mongolia and possibly on a separate occasion Hong Kong. I have been told by the visa department at BLCU that I can simply leave the country and obtain and new visa on my return. My questions is whether this is true? I don't want to find myself stuck outside China for good! Thanks in advance for taking the time to answer what is probably a very obvious and straightforward question! Quote

jobin Posted April 14, 2010 at 05:36 AM Report Posted April 14, 2010 at 05:36 AM best if you could get the multiple entry visa in beijing, before going to mongolia, yes, i think you can go to ulan bator, find the chinese embassy, wait in line, have cash (us dollars best, no RMB taken in ulan bator), leave the passport for days (pay more for rush!), return to get the passport and enjoy the ride back to beijing. lots of effort.
