LurvJenny Posted April 16, 2010 at 02:39 PM Report Share Posted April 16, 2010 at 02:39 PM I've tried audio tapes and grammar text books, but found that most softwares are a lot more effective. With technology these days, its soo much easier to learn. I found that Rocket Chinese is extremely visually appealing and it has personally made my learning a lot easier. Everything comes in the form of interactive games. I remember going to Chinese classes, and it was quite tedious. Having to write words out so many times. Over and over again until they didn't even look like words. My nanny at the time is not Asian, but she could see every time I accidentally left a stroke out or something. I don't know any pinyin, but my vocab and pronunciations have improved a lot. Is there other software anyone can recommend?
roddy Posted April 17, 2010 at 02:24 AM Report Share Posted April 17, 2010 at 02:24 AM Rocket Chinese has by far (last time I looked) the best paying affiliate programs in the sector, and therefore generates a lot of 'review sites' which are geared towards creating sales. Never used it (or heard of anyone using it) but I'd be very dubious about positive reports online.
renzhe Posted April 17, 2010 at 02:51 AM Report Share Posted April 17, 2010 at 02:51 AM Personally, I've never met anyone proficient at Chinese who didn't find the learning process tedious, so I'm skeptical of that too
LurvJenny Posted April 17, 2010 at 02:07 PM Author Report Share Posted April 17, 2010 at 02:07 PM Hey Roddy, I think it pays the most for a reason. I'm not sure about what others say about this Chinese Learning Software, but for me, its worked better than the tapes and books, which is why I'm asking for other software recommendations. imron Posted April 18, 2010 at 04:14 AM Report Share Posted April 18, 2010 at 04:14 AM I think it pays the most for a reason.Because it wants to generate lots of people linking to its site, and lots of online buzz about its product?
