raydeng Posted April 25, 2010 at 01:30 PM Report Posted April 25, 2010 at 01:30 PM Hello, I'm very new and not sure if this thread is acceptable at here. Please let me know if it's not. Then I'll edit it later. This is my host family inviting: I'm living in a Traditional Beijing building which is near the north side of Forbidden city. And it's actually very close to the Houhai, the biggest clubs zone. But my living area is very quite. It's a small and neat bungalow, around 40 square-meters. It includes 1 bed room (with 1 big bed, table, chairs, refrigerator, wireless internet), 1 front room (with 1 bed in sofa, TV, washer), & 1 shower room (no toilet). You can see a very chilling but like 1950's sense of life from outside. This kind of area has a interesting name - "hutong". The bigger street is about 500 meters far, but usually the transport is very busy because it is the center of the Beijing. The old subway station is like 1 km far but there will be a new one which is just at the “hutong”. I'm looking for tourist who would be temporarily staying in Beijing for a couples days. You'd better be a single male, because I'm a single male. But actually I could host a couple if you could sleep in 1 bed. For less than 3 days you could stay as free. But if you need to stay over 1 week then better think about pay some fee for the host because each forefinger has to apply a program from the police officer for a long time home stay in China. That might be a little tricky to us. If you would also like to try to make new friends by this method. I'd share my knowledge of China culture while making China Teaism for you. And maybe show some China cooking skill for you. Quote
raydeng Posted April 26, 2010 at 02:44 PM Author Report Posted April 26, 2010 at 02:44 PM Better read these before you deiced: `Me & my neighbors use public toilet, which is not really cool. I'd recommended you use the chamber pot at night and go the nearest KFC in the day. `My neighbor has a noisy dog, which is barking in day but doesn't bite. And wild cats mew or jump on the roof at night (not very often). `My bigger room has better bed but with a refrigerator. It's not too annoying but still make sounds at night (I don't hear it in sleeping). `My small front room with the sofa in bed is cheaper & calmer, but you'd need to sleep in that bed-in-sofa. `I can supply a transport card, but you need to pay RMB 50 to secure it. `Pick-Up Service is available. But better think about pay funds for it. Here are some more pics: Quote
