Lempea Posted April 26, 2010 at 10:33 AM Report Share Posted April 26, 2010 at 10:33 AM Hi there! In the video game Half-Life 2, there is, among junk, a Chinese food box, and I'd like to know what's written on it, unless it's completely random. A link to the writings follows. Maybe it's reversed, I have no idea. Thanks a lot for your help! http://img534.imageshack.us/img534/8670/chinesefood.png

Lempea Posted April 26, 2010 at 04:38 PM Author Report Share Posted April 26, 2010 at 04:38 PM Here's a bigger version, with more contrast, but I'm not sure that'll help: http://img341.imageshack.us/img341/8670/chinesefood.png
rivercao Posted April 27, 2010 at 02:08 AM Report Share Posted April 27, 2010 at 02:08 AM Oh my gosh, the characters are too ancient! They might be the earliest ones in Chinese history, approx 3,000 or 4,000 years ago, written on turtles' sheel. I'm not sure what they are, but I think to recognise these words is really rocket science.

Glenn Posted April 27, 2010 at 01:36 PM Report Share Posted April 27, 2010 at 01:36 PM I thought I saw "stop" and "zero" for the first two. It's hard to be sure with that resolution, though.
Shi Tong Posted April 27, 2010 at 04:08 PM Report Share Posted April 27, 2010 at 04:08 PM I'm playing half life 2 at the moment too, any idea where abouts it is, maybe I can find it myself and see if I can have a look. I must say though, it does look like ancient Chinese which is, again, almost impossible to interpret!
