Shi Rui'en Posted September 7, 2004 at 04:37 AM Report Posted September 7, 2004 at 04:37 AM I can't remember exactly how the simplified character looks (I only know the traditional), but to say "Don't touch!" I've always said Bie(2) dong(4). For example, bie dong wo de dongxi. However, I was at a picnic here in the states and was told Bie(2) dong(4) when a growling dog got too close. I took it as "don't move", but didn't get a chance to ask if that was what it meant. The dog had me a little distracted. Can it mean both? I'll try to post with the char. later. Quote
skylee Posted September 7, 2004 at 05:57 AM Report Posted September 7, 2004 at 05:57 AM Don't touch -> 别动(動)/别碰 (bie2 peng4) Don't move -> 别动(動) Stand still and don't move -> 站住别动(動) Quote
