jbradfor Posted May 15, 2010 at 05:22 PM Report Posted May 15, 2010 at 05:22 PM ZDT2go is close to what you want. It is based on ZDT (duh), which contains SRS. However, from what I was told (I haven't used it as my mobile phone is old-school), it doesn't currently support the better form for SRS in ZDT. It supports an older version that is more limited. However, since it is based on ZDT, maybe a couple of emails to the author of ZDT2go would encourage that person to add it? Quote

murrayjames Posted May 17, 2010 at 12:32 AM Report Posted May 17, 2010 at 12:32 AM If you use Mnemosyne, get Mnemododo. http://www.tbrk.org/software/mnemododo.html Quote
aristotle1990 Posted May 18, 2010 at 04:38 AM Report Posted May 18, 2010 at 04:38 AM Ankidroid, for Anki on Android. I've not used it myself, being stuck on an iPhone for the next year. According to this, it seems that AnkiDroid only allows two answers, right or wrong. (I mean, come on...) I want to purchase a device solely for the purpose of going around Ankiing all the time, but I'm not going to buy an Android phone if this is the best there is. FullRecall for Windows Mobile looks nice, but I would have to transfer my Anki deck over to the $35 PC version, which I'm not sure is possible, especially as I've got a lot of images and audio... I dunno, maybe I'll just go get an iPhone. Quote

I want to purchase a device solely for the purpose of going around Ankiing all the time, but I'm not going to buy an Android phone if this is the best there is. I noticed that too, but I assumed there was a way to change it to the 4/5 option mode. If not, that is pretty retarded. When it comes time for me to get a new phone, I'm going to ask them to implement the feature, and if they won't, I'll just get a Meego/Maemo device and run ankiqt and ankimaemi on it. Right now I'm using iAnki on the iPhone (since mine couldn't be jailbroken for AnkiMini until recently). It suffices for my needs since I don't use pictures or audio, but it's irritating to have to sync it to my PC every few days instead of online to the Anki server. edit: woah, -1 rep? What's up with that? Someone a little sensitive? Quote
aristotle1990 Posted May 24, 2010 at 09:40 AM Report Posted May 24, 2010 at 09:40 AM [snip] Oh, yeah, they say it has "full SRS" now, which I assume means having four buttons. (Why they don't tell us this stuff, I have no idea...) Quote
giraffe Posted May 25, 2010 at 02:56 AM Report Posted May 25, 2010 at 02:56 AM Is there a reasonable way of adding words from an Android Chinese-English dictionary into Ankidroid? That's the one thing I love about Pleco, being able to look up a word in the dictionary and then add it to the flashcards with a quick tap. Quote

(Why they don't tell us this stuff, I have no idea...) I don't know if that's an easy assumption to make, but it does seem likely. If so, I guess Ankidroid is complete enough to use. Now if only there were dictionary integration like with Pleco... Quote
