Scoobyqueen Posted May 17, 2010 at 11:50 AM Report Posted May 17, 2010 at 11:50 AM I was just looking for some examples of 旨and other characters and found this one: 甘旨肥浓 As far as I can work out, this is a chengyu. Can anyone confirm if this the case and if so highlight the context where it may be used. Quote
Daan Posted May 17, 2010 at 12:41 PM Report Posted May 17, 2010 at 12:41 PM It's listed in the appendix of the Taiwanese Ministry of Education chéngyǔ dictionary (here), so it appears to be a chéngyǔ alright, if a rarely used one. 2 Quote
johndones Posted May 18, 2010 at 09:59 AM Report Posted May 18, 2010 at 09:59 AM A quick Google search reveals it is used to describe food as delicious and it also reveals that most people don't know or use that too often as most of pages that you get are about it's meaning. So just forget. Well actually once you check it's meaning it's pretty obvious so it might be hard to forget anyways :-). Quote

I was after a more specific explanation, perhaps from someone who had heard it used or had used it (context). Quote
