妨害家庭罪 -- the crime of hindering a family

妨害家庭罪 is the most ludicrous crime alleged in any Chinese society.

In Taiwan, such indictment is still very common. (In Mainland China, 妨害家庭 had been a crime until the '60s or '70s.)

If you are a girl and you have an affair with a guy whom has a wife, you can be arrested for hindering that guy's family.

Such crime is a felony and you can be convicted to jail term ranging from two months or longer.

And the silliest thing of all is that if your lover's wife knows that you have a rendezvous with her husband in a certain hotel, she can go report to the police station and ask the policemen to help her raid the hotel. (I wonder how come the police in Taiwan has such spare time to meddle in these extra-marital affairs.)

And when they break in your hotel room, most likely your lover's wife will grab your panty or underwear as evidence for court trial.

And the silliest......silliest of all is that your lover will not be charged with anything even though it maybe he who seduced you!
