for those of you fortunate enough, unlike me, to be in beijing over the national day holiday head on out to the foot of the fragrant hills in western beijing for the biggest (in respect to number of bands) music event in china (this is the 3rd year of the annual festival) on the grounds of the MIDI music school. its a great chance to see a variety of bands from all over china in one place, at one time. more info including schedule of bands, map, and bus routes can be found at http://www.midischool.com.cn/festival/index.html
