Walking / Hiking Near Beijing

Hello,

I'd like to get out of the city for a gentle stroll and some nature but I don't like the idea of spending over 2 hours on the bus to do so. Do you know of any good places to go hiking near Beijing that are easily accessible by bus without too many changes? Preferably to somewhere with untrafficked roads or walking paths. I know there is a hiking path but it's usually all-day and I prefer to wander about on my own without a set schedule.

I really want to hike as well, esp in Autumn when the weather's the best, as when winter comes the weather's atrocious. This group's website lookslegit, however, it is quite pricey for a day hike!!!

Let me know if you're interested, I wouldn't mind going with someone!
