zhouhaochen Posted July 14, 2010 at 12:36 AM Report Posted July 14, 2010 at 12:36 AM we once had a teacher from Beijing Sports University interviewing with us. She said the Chinese program there is very small (which must not be a bad thing), so thats why you probably cant find much information about it here. Quote
knadolny Posted July 14, 2010 at 04:14 AM Report Posted July 14, 2010 at 04:14 AM When I was studying Wushu in China, people asked why I didn't study at Beijing Sports University instead of BLCU. I thought that was a good question and I had not thought about that when I was studying. If you are going Beijing Sports University, are you planning on practicing sports as well? Quote
p0mmes_frites Posted July 14, 2010 at 12:53 PM Author Report Posted July 14, 2010 at 12:53 PM I have been practicing taekwondo for almost 3 years now, but I have been accepted to Beijing Sports University as a Chinese Language Student. I want to continue practicing martial arts there, but I won't have time to follow the regular courses, as sports courses are 15 hours a week. I want to practice with the students on our own not in my free time, in order not to lose my flexibility and endurance etc., if that's possible. Do you think I can find chance to practice with the others on our own without registering to the courses? Quote
knadolny Posted July 14, 2010 at 01:36 PM Report Posted July 14, 2010 at 01:36 PM To be honest I have no idea about your particular situation, but based my experience in China is that you will not have any trouble making something work for you. Why not call up the school and ask? If your Chinese is not good enough, maybe find a friend? The school might not be so internet savvy but I am sure someone will be able to answer your questions if you call them up. Quote
