Music Query, Real Long Shot!

Hi to everyone, first post here.

This is a real shot in the dark, but if there's any place to get it answered it'll be here.

Years and years ago I heard a piece of Chinese music on the radio, and it's still burned into my brain now.

The one thing that I remember about it was that it had the sound of a traditional instrument, possibly an erhu or one of those instruments with a real keening sound, and behind it was basically a kind of trip-hop beat. Not a combination you would imagine working, but this particular track was awesome, which is why it's stuck with me.

I think the radio station suggested that it was a track from "The Rough Guide to the music of China", but I have that CD an it's not on there, unless there's more than one Rough Guide to China CD.

I know this isn't much to go on at all, but if anyone has any idea what I could be talking about, or even if there's a genre of that kind of music, I'd be grateful if you could post names, links, etc.

I agree with Yezze ,plus that ,is it a song with lyrics or just a music ?If it is a song ,the singer is female or male ?
