I believe most of you have heard this line before. So how would you translate it? Personally, I would translate it as, "work hard; aim high". How do you think of this version?

Any comments will be welcome.

I would make a more literal translation. "Study well; improve daily."

I thought the standard translation was "good good study, day day up". :P

Study hard, and every day you will improve.

["Study well"? Sounds strange to me in English.]

Maybe it's American vs British English? I can almost hear Master Dumdledore tell Harry to "study well, my boy".
