when njstar doesn't work....

Some internet cafe owners seem to avoid installing East Asia Languages Support on their computer. On a computer like this, even if I've installed Njstar, I can't read and write any Chinese. The problem is that I also can't install East Asia Language Support because it requires a windows installer CD.

In this case, are there any other solutions to read Chinese?

NJStar what? NJStar is just the name of a software company. They have a range of products. Some of them allow you to view Chinese. As far as I know, NJStar Communicator has this ability.

i think you keep GB18030 support and MS pinyin 2003/2007 in a thumb drive would be useful. both can be downloaded at microsoft site and its free. and since its microsoft, would probably fit in any windows system.

Thanks. it seems to be the only way to go. Does it need a reboot after installing those files?

P.S. And the njstar i used is njstar communicator. It doesn't work if the computer hasn't installed with East Asian Languages Support.
