I am staying on the east side of the forbidden city so somewhere near there would be good. Thanks in advance
Flying Pigeon Posted July 4, 2010 at 07:52 AM Report Share Posted July 4, 2010 at 07:52 AM Hi, I asked a similar question. Here's that post. I'm not too familiar with downtown. What's the name of the area where you live?

natra Posted July 4, 2010 at 04:31 PM Report Share Posted July 4, 2010 at 04:31 PM Have you considered just buying your computer on Chinese Amazon? They will deliver it to your apartment for only a small fee, and you will not have to haggle with any vendors.
zhouhaochen Posted July 5, 2010 at 03:41 AM Report Share Posted July 5, 2010 at 03:41 AM I personally have bought all my computers at dell here via the internet. They are actually a little bit more expensive here than the US, but the service is great (while moving my laptop once fell down the stairs from the 6th to the 4th floor - they replaced the whole thing free of charge!) and you dont get dodgy stuff. But then we just got a "custom assembled" computer for our school server (because apparently it needs more fans so it can run 24h a day). So far it works, but I bet the computer shop cheated us in some way.
