Just curious how you would translate this sentence:

本月向北京人民广播电台推荐节目嘉宾30人。

This month Beijing People's Radio recommended 30 guests (listeners) (to our program).

The speaker or the writer doesn't spell out the subject. He might assume the audience know who the subject is. To play safe, the sentence can be translated as, "This month, thirty guests will be recommended to Beijing People's Radio for a certain program." It is very likely the subject is "we". In that case, the Chinese can be translated as, "This month, we'll recommend thirty guests to Beijing People's Radio for a certain program.

Apologies for not providing more info. It's a work report for the month of June. The writer (a member of the organization) was referring to their radio program. So with that in mind, and your help, I'm going to go with:

"This month we recommended 30 guests to our program on Beijing People's Radio."

Sounds to me like they maybe suggest them to the station, which then has to approve the choice? Is that the case?

Thanks, Roddy. After reading other parts of the report, I think that might be the case. I also think "guest" refers to "interviewee" for the talk show. I'll ask this afternoon when I send them the translation.
