roddy Posted July 7, 2010 at 11:09 AM Report Posted July 7, 2010 at 11:09 AM Is there even one .dict standard? You just need to look at an example then have your database spit out the file in the right format. Quote

You might post your question there. Some of the developers do visit from time to time but not often. StarDict forum They no longer house their dictionary files at that site. Instead they're housed here: links to pirated dictionaries and viruses removed . . . They seem to know about .DICT XML formats there. You should check them out. Kobo-Daishi, PLLA. Quote
Speedy Posted August 5, 2010 at 05:09 PM Report Posted August 5, 2010 at 05:09 PM It's a big waste of time. Quote
Kobo-Daishi Posted September 19, 2010 at 03:02 AM Report Posted September 19, 2010 at 03:02 AM Dear Dharius, How is your project coming along? I can't read French but I would gather that you now have more than 100754 entries? That's tremendous since you only had 11607 entries when you first told us all about it. Speedy wrote: It's a big waste of time. No, it's not. He just wants to help French learners of Chinese. Should Chinese learning be only for the speakers of English? I read at a post somewhere where this guy was real glad that he'd discovered a Chinese-language learning site included Spanish. So desperate that he is for Chinese-learning material in his native Spanish. If there were free quality Chinese-Spanish material out there then we'd have this: This is just Kobo messing around with making a Chinese-Spanish dictionary for his personal use on the open source ZDT program. I don't speak Spanish but I'm thinking of learning it. There are a lot of Spanish-speaking people here in the states and I'd like to be able to know more of the language than just how to order tacos. There are tons of great dictionary files available from Stardict and Lingoes and it'll be great ported over to ZDT. Unfortunately a lot of them are pirated so you'd probably have to make them your self. Even make your own literary Chinese-English dictionary. ;) Kobo-Daishi, PLLA. Quote
