NPCR1-3 - equivalent HSK? Is it worth even thinking about HSK yet?

Hi guys

I am wondering in anybody can give me some advice about this.

I've finished NPCR1-3 at uni and as such know the 1000 characters taught in the series. What is the NPCR1-3 - equivalent HSK? Is it worth even thinking about HSK yet or am I still low?

If you prepare for the exam (by looking at the example exam and study the words at the back of the example exam), you should be able to succeed the new HSK 4 without too much effort. If you don't prepare specifically for the HSK, the new HSK 3 shouldn't be a problem.
