Do you regret having started learning Chinese?

Honestly, I have never regretted it. I think it's one of the best things I've ever done. I've made a lot of friends because of it, and it's opened up new opportunities for me in many ways. Plus I just think it's really fun to learn, and a very beautiful language ^-^

At one point in time, I did regret learning Chinese because even after quite a bit of intensive study I was still functionally illiterate. I even quit studying Chinese for a while.

But during my break with the language I kinda realized that it was still something I wanted to do, and that maybe a more patient, measured approach was better for me.

I can't express how glad I am to be back.
