skylee Posted September 27, 2004 at 12:27 AM Report Posted September 27, 2004 at 12:27 AM In HK? Did you mean the Standard Chartered Marathon? Many men in my old office take part every year. Quote
wushijiao Posted October 13, 2004 at 01:07 AM Author Report Posted October 13, 2004 at 01:07 AM Did you mean the Standard Chartered Marathon? No, that's not the one I meant. But I signed up for Standard Chartered, mainly because it's far enough out so that I can do some proper training. So, thanks! Quote
skylee Posted October 13, 2004 at 10:28 AM Report Posted October 13, 2004 at 10:28 AM So you meant this one. Never heard of it before . This race offers a welcome alternative to the boredom, pollution and lifelessness of the HKAAA's Standard Chartered Marathon and its shorter siblings. Quote
wushijiao Posted February 28, 2005 at 11:28 AM Author Report Posted February 28, 2005 at 11:28 AM In case anyone cares, I ended up running the Standard Chartered Marathon, clocking in at an extremely slow 4:31 (with a split of 1:59). Anyway, I felt like it was a well organized event, and volunteers and crew were friendly and supportive even through it was raining. So, I would suggest doing this to any runners in China! Quote
